After your visit, what role will your primary care veterinarian play?

After each visit a referral letter will be sent to your veterinarian detailing all clinical findings, laboratory test results, diagnoses and treatment recommendations.  Maintaining communication with your veterinarian is crucial in maintaining the highest level of care for your pet. Dr. Hansen is a veterinary dermatologist and only treats skin disease (including ears) and allergies. Therefore, your veterinarian will continue to your pet’s comprehensive veterinary care.

Emergency & Urgent Care

We have a Critical Care veterinarian and personnel on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle pet's urgent care needs. Emergencies are accepted at anytime. Emergencies can be things such as snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.

We are also available for critical care when the condition is not life-threatening. If you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment, our  Critical Care veterinarians will see you as you come in. When you arrive, their receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
